you fancied them?

Years ago before I got married, a very good friend of mine told me he fancied me for years. I had known him since I was 18 and he said that he had always fancied me and was tempted to ask me out on a date but didn't want to spoil the friendship.

I was really surprised... not expecting it at all. We have stayed good friends and he and I have both married and it doesn't bother me when I see him.

Has it happened to any of you??
