Default What's your opinion?

My daughter is now almost 7 months old and so far has had NO vaccinations. We did not want to rush it. But I am thinking of starting with the Hib at the next visit. What do you think? I have read "What your doctor may not have told you..." but I am also curious to see what other moms are doing. Should I wait longer?

Which vaccines do you all consider the most important, if any?

You should not only vaccinate to protect your own children, but to protect others, too. It is a very well known fact that when communities stop vaccinating, diseases that were previously vaccinated against and eliminated, flourish again. We are obligated as a society to vaccinate, to help children that can not be vaccinated, stay alive. The death rate among children was much higher 100 years ago due to no vaccines available or used at all. Why do you think so many more children make it nowadays? The modern medicine and technology play a big role.

Our grandparents grew up with no vaccinations at all. Look at their age. Mine are still alive and kicking. They are both in the low 90's. Amazing how that did happen without any vaccines.

My siblings and I were never vax'd and neither have any of our children.

In reality, human beings only get one disease at a time, not the 3-6 diseases that are being injected into children these days.

It is well known that healthy people who are exposed to disease will have little or no symptoms.

I would rather stay healthy than to inject diseases into my body or any body.

You are not only injecting diseases into your child's growing body, but also neurotoxins, aborted fetal cells, animal DNA, mercury, embryonic fluid from chickens (Avian Flu, anyone?), etc.

We now have antibiotics, IV fluids to fight dehydration and a host of drugs that help the body fight disease.

America has a high infant mortality rate. Children really are not "making it" these days.

Most grandparents that turn 80,90, or even hundred do so because of modern medicine and not because they are soo healthy. Did you ever ask your grandpa or grandma what medications she has taken in the last 10-20 years? Modern medicines does miracle work.

Another reason are dentures. Humans are able to chew properly much longer and therefore can eat certain food groups longer in life - helping to stronger and therefore live longer.

I just think that everyone should give their kids a fair chance to grow so that they can make informed decisions when they become adults. I am not a friend of pushing a kid into certain believes (be it religion or health-wise) and not giving him a chance to decide for himself. Sure, they need guideance and help to get there, but life affecting decisions should be taken with the best for the kid in mind.

Okay, I am certainly not giving my children in vacs unless it's a life or death matter. My reason because I was 5 years old, and I had the whole works, and I was SICKER THAN A DOG, I got sick EVERY FLU SEASON, and I had it 3 times longer than the other children. After I stopped getting them, I got a lot better (my lungs are permently damaged from being sick over and over again), I have not been sick for about 18 months (including the winter months). So I am againts VACS
