Is anyone feeding their baby strawberries yet? I heard they're on the list of allergenic foods and should not be fed before 12 months of age, but I am wondering when was the appropriate age that a baby is allowed to eat them? Some 2nd stage food I have seen contains strawberries.
Thank you for your kind reply. Allison |

I have relied on the information from our nutritionist/macrobioligist(sp?), in that my children are Native American, therefore, our genetics are pre-wired to eat strawberries, blueberries, etc.
I would say that if you have a family history of little or no strawberries, then your baby might be at risk for allergies, so then wait. Then again, babies under a year who are breastfed, rarely need to eat food, anyways. Only one of my children ate food before 13 months old, but she was also the only one in daycare, so, that might have had more to do with her eating so early. |

If the mother nor father has any allergies, is it possible for them to get an allergy?
(As far as I know no one in my family or his has any food allergy)
