Default Getting baby's vaccines at the local county Health Department? - Who

gives babies their shots there, a doctor? Just wondering what is the routine at the County Health Department for a baby's immunizations? What all are they gonna do there if we go just for the baby's second immunization shot?

Usually nurses are responsible for administering vaccines.Routines vary from place to place so without knowing where you are talking about, the second part of the question is impossible.

I doubt that ANY dr gives shots ANYWHERE anymore. Nurses give them, or maybe technicians.

A nurse can give the shots...it will likely be a nurse..and if all you want is shots then tell them that...bring a copy of your baby's shot records with of course!!!

In Oklahoma one can go to the country Health Department for Vaccinations. You register with the desk. Then you are called into an exam room and a nurse gives the shot. Then you leave.

A pediatrician. Health departments have departments for all, adults and children-separately. Thats where my bro got his shots.

At my county's health department the nurses are usually the ones who give the vaccinations. However, you experience will depend on your local health department's staffing and operating procedures.

its mostly likely a [RN] nurse. Dr's don't usually give shots. They will just give the baby a shot. what do you mean what are they gonna do?
