Important information to know is how old the baby is?If the child is old enough rice cereal can be used to supplement diet during waking hours. milk can be pumped and stored to be used latter. make dad wake up and feed the kid.other ideas include increasing your calorie intake and drinking more water in the effort to make more milk.sometimes mothers who are away from their kids produce less milk.. so proximity is a factor.

Milk production is a continuous thing - so the longer that baby goes between feeds - the fuller they will feel - but even when they feel empty, there'll be some milk there to be got at. Likelihood is that your baby is simply cluster feeding - something that many parents seem to find their lil one does in the early evening. Perseverence is key. Milk production works on supply and demand - so the more they demand the breast - the more milk you're breasts will produce (albeit, it may take a day or two for supply and demand to sync). I know it's difficult when they want to feed every 30 minutes or so at night - you're shattered and need sleep - but the key is to sleep whenever baby does - whether this be day or night. Forget doing anything else at this stage until breast feeding is established (normally by 4-6 weeks). Housework can wait - you need rest to breastfeed successfully. Make sure you drink plenty of water - and have a drink beside you're bed - this will help things to flow.Good luck
