We have recently started trying to conceive. I went off my pills last month so I know its very early in the game. Now I am trying to figure out when I ovulate. When I was on BC I always spotted for 2-3 days the week before AF actually came. This month I did not have spotting the previous week. I have never been regular when I am not on BC, so thats not big suprise. Anyways, I started spotting on Monday and Tuesday, so little that I actually thought maybe it was implantation bleeding, basically just on the TP. On Wednesday AF came for her monthly visit. My question is when counting days to figure out when I will ovulate do I count from the day I started spotting, or the day that I actually started what I consider normal AF amount of bleeding. Someone please help!

Check out Toni Weschlers book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" She tells you how to chart your bodies fertility signs and these signs will tell you if and when you ovulate. That way you're not worrying about counting... because every woman is different and ovulates different days, especially depending on the length of your cycle. Fertilityfriend works off the basics of Toni's book, which is basically the Fertility Awareness Method but I'd get the book in order to really understand the premise of your bodies signs, then you could move onto online charting with the above site, or better yet, check out her site at www.tcoyf.com Goodluck!(Technically, the first day of your period is when you obverse red blood - spotting is usually pink or brown and any spotting before your period is considered part of your last cycle)
