I'm 13, and a bit of a nerd. A popular one, but a short nerd. There's this girl I like, I've never had a girlfriends before...I'm extremely nervous. I really like her, and there's a disco on tuesday. I wanted to ask her out, but I'm unbelievably nervous. Picture the most nervous moment in your life, x10000000.
We get on really really well, she's said several times that I'm a really good friend(good or bad :S) and she feels I'm somebody she can confide in. Of course she can, I would never tell anyone. We're really good friends, and talk almost daily on facebook. We chat at break times etc. When she leaves on facebook/msn or whatever, she alwys ends with a couple of little xxx's, but I don't know if that's just me she does that to... But I have zilch knowledge with girls:
if she says no, probably everyone will know that nerd-boy got rejected.
she might not take me seriously.
she might like somebody else.

I need SERIOUS pyschological help here!!

Ever heard of that quote "It's better to have tried and failed then not to have tried at all"? When you get a chance to have a conversation with her after lets just say giving your opinion at certain topics, ask her casually if she wants to go out with you to this dance that you mentioned. Go somewhere with this line that ----you've been invited by friends and you'd hate it if you go there alone.
