Hi Kim,

How're your plans going, have you booked or bought anything else yet ?

I feel a bit behind as I've only booked the church, venue, car and cake. The girls on the confetti forum have almost everything done so far in advance...

xx

Well Ive bought the rings but waiting for a call to say they have arrived :???: Ive also got the mens suits sorted and mark and my step dad have had there fittings, now its a case of getting the other five into the shop to be fitted.

Ive still not sorted out make-up and just trying to find the cheapest person to do the job and I need another hairdresser to sort the kids hair out.

Oh and I still dont have a wedding dress, I have 2 months left to find one as they take months to arrive when ordered

Sounds like you're quite organised then - what date is it again ?

I'm thinking of doing my own make up, I know what I like, what suits me etc - do brides do that these days ? I can be different I suppose...

Have you tried Debenhams for dresses ? What happened to that lovely one you showed us a picture of on here a few weeks back, that was gorgeous.

I just dont think I can afford it but i might have to try it on again and a few other and see what I like, I really want something that wraps over if you know what I mean.
something like this

Which I can have in any colour I want to match my bridesmaids dress but its very daring, I can just have it in ivory though.

I have to get my dress from work as I have done a deal to get the rolls royce for £75 if I get my dress from there.

The date is the 9th september!!

That's gorgeous too. I love the wrap around style ones, although I've not tried on anything just yet, still feel it's a bit early.

Do your place have any summer sales ? Or maybe that would be pushing it a bit ? What sort of prices are they looking at ? Do they hire and sell ?

They do both where I work, Oh sod it Im just going to try on some more dresses and if I love it then Im having it regardles of cost.
Its my day and I will wear what I want (my mum moaned the dress was too much) I am going to hire as I dont see the point in having a dress put away in a loft.

We had a girl bring her dress in to be cleaned and put in a box and it cost her £155

I know I can't really see the point in that either...

I have set a £500 budget - from your experience d'you think I can get the dress of my dreams ? (Not that I have any yet - lol) be it hire or buy ?

Go for it, you'll regret it if you don't get the one you want, just get selling on ebay anything you don't want to make up the difference !!!

Well the dress of my dreams would cost £650 so what we do in our shop is if you wanted to hire it then you would half that price and add on £25 for cleaning.....So I think you will have no problems getting what you want if you want to hire.

Oh that sounds great, hopefully most shops will have similar kinds of policy then, maybe ?

We're going away in the summer and I'm saving on e-bay (paypal), just selling unwanted stuff, old clothes mainly and I've £250.00 in my ebay account. Honestly, it all adds up, I'm aiming to pay the hotel with it (£414.00) I'm determined to get there.

So go and drag out all your wardrobes and get sorting !
