Default Wedding gifts

Do you think its really rude to ask for money as a wedding gift I cant help thinking that it is rude to ask for money.
Even though mark and I have everything I think it might be better to ask for gift vouchers.

Our friends got married in Sept and they asked for money as they took the kids to Disneyland with it. I personally wouldn't be offended at all, I'd sooner give something that'd come in good use....

We've asked for money

We have everything we need for our house and I didn't want vouchers as with the money we'll be able to use it on anything we want such as Plasterers  plus theres only certain shops where you can spend the vouchers so your limited.

I think people will be more grateful to give you money than some tacky present thats gonna be on the car boot in 6 months
