Do I gift her a gift, and buy the 'couple' a gift too? Just the couple?
Our (bride's) family is paying for most of the wedding and reception, and bought her dress, but what else should we do? |

is the bridal party taking care of her "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue"? if not take care of that and thats really all.. you're contribution to the celebration is already gift enough.
*my in laws paid for 1/3 of the wedding and were over generous with my bridal shower gifts but gave us a very beautiful clock to place on a mantle.. cherrywood with gold accents and a pearl face. but she said in the card that we always need to 'take time' for each other.. im crying im such a blubberer.. sorry.. |

I'm buying my daughter a wedding!
That's what my parents got me, too. It's a fabulous gift, really! Really, without being a smarty-pants...This is truly, truly, a HUGE gift already. There is absolutely no need for you to stress yourself out trying to find something that they can unwrap. If you really want to find something that can be put in a box, it most definitely should be for both of them, just like all the other guests' gifts will be for the couple. |
