Default Married women? On your wedding day did you wear the make-up that you normally...

...wear? Or different make-up? For my wedding I want to have a professional do my make-up, but do they use their own colors, or do the use your make-up? For my graduation pictures I had my make-up done at glamor shots and I didn't like it cuz it just wasn't me. I'm afraid it will be the same way for my wedding day. What did you do or plan on doing?

I went to Macy's and had mine done at the Benefit counter. I love their make-up, but I knew that for photo's I needed something more than the little bit I usually use. I just made sure to tell them that I didn't want full on foundation (I have freckles & it just looks weird with foundation), and the general style I was going for. I went for a trial before hand, so my makeup looked great for my shower as well, and I was happy, so I went back. I should also mention that I didn't look like a clown, and wasn't over done. My husband loved the look because it was still me.
Glamour Shots uses a LOT of make-up (I had it done once). You can have a professional do what you want. Also, if you really want some of your makeup used, I'm sure a hired professional will do it for you.

Good luck & congratulations!

I made a point to wear my usual makeup, and keep my hair the way I usually wear it. I wanted to look like me. I did use a little more makeup than usual, what I'd wear for a night out.

When I'm going out, I fluff my hair with rollers and wear a little more makeup. When I'm home around the house, I wear very light makeup and put my hair up. So for me, putting my hair UP is my "housework" look, so I didn't want it up, I wanted it long and wavy.

As for professionals, they'd bring their own stuff, right? Which I think is kind of gross if they're dipping brushes into the eyeshadows and stuff, then using them on all kinds of people. It seems really germy to use the same makeup on so many people, even if they do happen to clean their brushes after each client (though I doubt they do)

I had a makeup person, but I was very specific that I wanted it to look natural like I had no makeup at all.
it looked great, they should offer you a trial run beforehand so you can get the kinks out.

I would wear your normal makeup. Your husband to be fell in love with you, not some made up person, so why not let him marry the woman he fell in love with? I didn't wear any more or less makeup than normal on my wedding day. I wanted to look like me.
