im not sure you could say until the subject was brought up, sensible eating would obviously be the better option.

havent got one obviously but.... i think that its wrong to make a child feel bad about her weight and dont think dieting is right for anyone, as thats what starts the problems  ask the expert  .... but then again my neighbours daughter is very big and looks horrendous sometimes when she tries to dress like her slim friends!! like nita said sensible eating, she eats all the wrong things constantly and i think that she needs to be taught to eat sensibly now or she is going to have a terrible problem in later years

i was 9 when i became anorexic because the school i was at shoved healthy eating down our throats i took it to the extreme eating very rarely more than an apple a day and going to 2 and a half stone before people realised there was a big problem! Im now not skinny at all in fact overweight as i found food again lol and from then on binged on food rather than eating sensibly. My 2 daughters now are very differently built the 9 yr old is not overweight but not naturally slim and my 6 yr old i cant see her having a prob at all shes not that into food. I have spoke to my 9 yr old bout eating healthy foods and exercising but have already been up to the school and had a heated discussion when the school told them they were to have marg instead of butter no jam etc on there sarnies in school putting a ban on nearly everything that could be called slightly bad for ya in the correct amounts! I hope with the correct amount of guidance they will not fall into the thing as i did. I agree with Nita though depends on the circumstances at the time

my daughters at the moment are quite young so weight has never came up as yet . but i do try to teach healthy eatting . in later life i noticed they were getting larger i would not want to make an issue of it . but would encourage them to try to eat better .
when myself and my sisters were at secondary school i never experienced anyone with anoxeria . so i do not have enough experiance to comment on it , as all the girls we were about with were all on the bigger side .
