Thats all well and good but i dont believe that can be maintained throughout life. A good "diet" needs to have portions of food from each of the food groups everyday. By cutting out carbs you will loose weight, but what about the day that that tiny little peice of bread keeps calling and calling you? When you have lost the weight you wanted to loose and go back to normal eating... even if in severe moderation, the carbs in a normal diet will ensure you pile back all the weight lost and trust me losts more! :?

Just reading through the threads and what you say Nita is very true, its all to do with what u eat and not letting your body think you are starving it.

When i fell ill after not eating and starving myself just to get thin, i certainly learned a lesson, that its very bad to put your body through that and i started to eat about 3-4 meals a day with nutrional snacks in between. Its hard when people tell u that god your really nice a slim bt nside i used ot think i,m bloody not i,m fat and that when i tool derastic measure  silly girl i was back then, BUT, thats all changed now

what i can't understand is that if you don't eat, you won't lose weight, then why are anorexics so thin?

because they eat things with no calories or fat in them like fruit and veg etc and tiny amounts of that aswell.

in my case for example i could live on one sandwich a day which is cr*p coz theres the bread for a start then the butter then the filling, do you see what i mean?

ah, so they do actually eat then? I've been on slimming tablets before & hardly ate anything all week & still not lost a pound, always wondered why that was!

The best way is to reduce weight is to drink water as much as you can, it helps in reducing fat. Try to do workouts and avoid food which will make overweight. Here I would like to suggest you to try Mark Patrick's Program . Their weight loss programs are designed to help eliminate the behaviors that are making people overweight.
