Default weight watchers

Hi,

Well tonight i joined Weight Watcher, hoping that their new "switch" plan was the miricle i have been waiting years and years for!!

However..... (as there always is with diets!!).... i was greated by an over sized (ok lets be honest she was probably about 4 stone at least over weight), grumpy old lady who explained that she had herself lost 8 stone 18 years ago. She explained that the extra food we eat we do indeed not need (what? they are paying you to tell me that?). She explained also that we should all be doing at least one hour of physical activity a day (and no apparently reaching for the chocolate digestives repeatedly for an hour whilst watching Eastenders and Corrie doesnt count, shame though!!). I was sooo tempted to ask what activity she often partisipates in (just to watch her blush as she attempted to blag her large bum out of that one!!). But ofcourse i didnt!! That would have been rude!!

In all fairness the diet looks wonderful (well, as wonderful as being starving can be). And i will certainly give it my best shot. But what i need to know is how others feel about dieting and what has worked for them. Am i being too unkind and scepticle? Anyway... time to go comfort eat now!!

Will keep you posted as to my weight loss, inch loss (and im sure personality loss too if im not careful!!)

scooby x

Good luck with this scooby. I lost 2 and a half stone in the summer by healthy eating and sheer determination. Well, that and starving   Hope this one works out for you. Let us know how you get on and we will spur you on

I tried Slimming World diet about 5 years ago, it was really good I lost all my excess weight without starving myself. I recommend it.

ive tried slimming world....twice actually. Its a good diet and the weight will fall of so long as you stick to the diet 100%. However, its not the easiest diet to work with, no potatoes, rice or pasta with meat etc.
Also im not sure that its a healthy way to eat. Ive had a long think abou this dieting thing lately and have decided that how i loos weigh has to be suitable for a life long maintanance plan otherwise the weight piles back on. With slimming world i always found myself completely cutting out certain food groups in order to follow the plan closely.

Anyone found the miricle yet?!

Default The Cabbage Soup Diet (minus the cabbage!!)

I am currently on day 4 of the 7 day Souper Cabbage Diet from Holland and Barrett  . I could not eat cabbage soup for a week , this you take supplements then follow a 7 day plan, which i might add is mega hard for the first 4 days!!!
I know these fad diets dont work for everyone, but I just cannot be on a diet for like 3 months losing just half a pound a week. I only have about just under a stone to lose, my baby is now 9 months old.
I have done this diet with my hubby before and he lost nearly 10lb in a week and I lost half a stone.
So that is the only reason I have done it again in desperation to lose another half a stone. I go to a class once a week, I ride about 5 miles on my bike once a week and walk my dog for about an hour a day but that last stone just wont go!
Today is bananas and milk day, plus these supplement things and lots of water, but tomorrow is meat, sunday is more meat!!! Hooray for real grub!
If I was more disciplined I would follow a proper diet, but I am not and this is the only way I can do it!!! I am jealous of all of you who can follow all these diets, i know tho once my baby weight is off it will probably stay off, fingers crossed anyhow!
That is the only diet that I have tried for the above reasons, but good luck to all who are following all the others!

Im on the 3rd week of my healthy eating, Im not going to call it a diet.
All I have done it cut all the crap out, I was eating way too much sweets and fizzy drinks while feeding my daughter I was just picking .
Now Im drinking just water and eating friut all day as my snacks and then having a decent meal in the evenings, now all I need to do is the excercice [graon] but thats the only way to go I suppose.
