Weight Watchers seems to have an healthy eating plan ~ which also increases activity ~ Why not give that a try ~ A diet to drop 15 pounds needs common sense ~ If you take it off too fast it will reappear and increase. Eat healthy ! Fruits and vegetables are a must ~ along with some carbs ~ and protein ~ Try it ! And of course increase your activity level ~ you should be successful ! Good Luck to you

Unfortunately there is no such thing as a miracle diet. The best way to lose weight is common mathematics. Increase energy output, and decrease energy consumption. Basically, burn more calories than you consume. 1 lb = 3500 Calories. My opinion is the Atkin diet is successful for some because certain foods are restricted, thus decreasing calories.Good luck!!! Please be safe with your weight loss!

Atkins is not exactly the healthiest choice and from what I heard leaves you feeling less than 100%. What is the reason you need to drop fast and by when?

I've been on it a couple of times. You can lose weight fast, but the downside is, like with any "diet", you put it right back on just as fast.Go to their website http://atkins.com/ click on "Atkins Nutritional Approach" then click on Phase 1. That's the phase where people drop weight fast...it allows a maximum of 20 carbs per day. You have no idea how many things you have to cut out of your diet, to keep it to under 20. You practically live on meat, cheese, and a few vegetables.Just remember, it's not a healthy diet long term, and the weight comes back easily when you start eating carbs again.Best way to lose weight is to eat a healthy balanced diet, drink lots of water, and exercise regularly. Sometimes we need a quick fix for a special event though, but it gets tiresome losing the same "X" pounds over and over. I'm doing that now...working on losing 15 lbs of the 20 I gained back during the last year after I got off of Atkins. I lost 35 on the diet though. LOL!Good luck!

I did Atkins and dropped 130 lbs. Have kept it off for over 4 years. But the key is to follow it strictly. I suggest reading the book to understand how you should do it. Now, even though it helped me lose, I don't believe it would work long term, so I modified my diet and incorporated whole grains and wheat pasta back into my diet with a steady exercise program. The key to any weight loss is a reduced caloric intake and exercise. If you follow the 2 week induction plan as stated in the book you could see great results. From my experience, I lost 17 lbs in those 2 weeks. But I was weighing 285 lbs at the time. But always remember not every diet is for everybody. While some may do well on Atkins, some may do better with Weight Watchers or NutriSystem.Drinking enough water is also key for a diet to help flush out the toxins. Hope this helps and good luck with your weight loss. And remember its not always about the numbers on the scale, but how you feel overall and how your clothes fit on you. Make sure you take measurements of yourself. Sometimes one may lose inches rather than lbs.

Increase your fiber intake if you want to keep the weight off. Fiber allows you to eat so many different foods - it's awesome when to lose weight and to keep it off. Also, as already mentioned - add some exercise to your daily tasks. Wlak 10000 steps per day and you're set.
