After you have a c-section, were you allowed to shower at all? I know that I will have a c-section when time comes. My concern is the nurses and doctors won't let me have a shower until the stitches/staples come out. Everyone knows how wonderful a shower feels - especially after going through something like surgery.I don't think I could go very long without a shower - especially knowing that I will have visitors right away.
Also, I am used to wearing low-cut bikini maternity underwear - will I need granny-style panties after my c-section? Daisy |

I was allowed to have a shower with the staples in. It just took a couple of hours after the c-section until I was able to safely move around again. The OBGyn also removed the staples before I went home. Just ask your OBGyn the next time you have an appointment.

I have always had staples and the hospital always allowed me to shower with them - even on the first day. But I had to wait for 10 days or so before they would take the staples out. As for the underwear I have never had to wear the granny panties but if you have them you might as well use them in this case so you wont ruin any of your "good" ones. It's not that there will romantic and sexy moments that shortly after having a c-section, sweetie.
