Default If my friend chooses a drug-free birth (no epidural), can she still...

...complain about the pain afterwards?

Congrats to your friend for choosing drug free! I'm confused about your question. Do you mean WILL she complain about the pain afterwards? I've never taken any pain medication during labor or delivery, and once baby is born, most pain is gone fairly quickly. She may have some pain, after all, she is giving birth! If her labor and delivery go without complications, she shouldn't have much pain afterwards.

She sure does! i have meds and the pain still shot through it.Nothing can compare to that pain. I can only post one group of people who can compare, but no one else canThe guys in Iraq can compare for the fact they work everyday in 100+ heat, wearing heavy armour and clothing that really doesnt let their skin breath. over a year of that can compare a lil under child birth with no pain killerIgnore the @ss hole who posted first. I think they were born with a few brain cells less thatn the other humans on this planet

It depends on how she complains or what you consider complaining. If she sayd "it hurt like H***" that isnt complaining. If she says "oh my i cant believe the pain i dont wanna do that again" ok then she could of very well asked for it. She can chose drug free and still say how bad the pain was. But to gripe that it was soooo bad and she had it so rough and all that well that would be kinda wrong because yes she had it rough and it does hurt like H*** but it is a choice to go through it with no drugs.

Yes and proudly! The baby will not be drugged and will be wide awake to experience their first breath. If she would go a step further I would suggest asking for a slight delay in the mandatory hospital silver nitrate drops they put in the baby's eyes. That way the child can see his parents clearly and have a wonderful bonding moment!

Are you kidding? All the more she has the right to complain.I'm suprised you even had to ask. I sense some irritation in your question. Is this a theoretical question or did you actually roll your eyes at your friend who said she was in pain? Tsk tsk!
