Not to sound patronising but of course it hurts, to be honest the worst pain I've probably ever felt, not to worry you, but, and this is a big but, it's over in a matter hours, and after all that you have a beautiful baby and all the pain is completely forgotten. Many women would say the day their child/children were born was the best day of their lives, so thats got to say something, no matter how much it hurts its worth it.As for how it feels, well it feels like you need to do a really really big poo!!Hope this helps and good luck, giving birth is a miracle, it may be hard but try to remember that!Hanna x

Yes, it hurts, I went through thirteen hours of labor and the pain/contractions was like really, really bad menstrual cramps. During the actual birth, I swear in my opinion I thought my son was coming out of my rear. I didn't take any epidural, I did it natural.

Mine hurt more than I ever imagined. I had back labor, and the back pain didn't go away between contractions. Lucky me. I ended up having an emergency c-section due to fetal distress. Apparently I had leaked out all my amniotic fluid over the weekend without noticing, so my daughter's heart rate dropped.I kid you not, my recovery from the c-section was worse than my labor pain. I don't know if they botched it or what (the wound didn't heal for about 7 weeks). But that honestly was the worst pain I've ever experienced. And I couldn't take pain medication for it because I breastfed, and my daughter just wasn't waking up when I was on the meds.
