I have heard several stories that people had epidurals but that the epidural was pretty much worn off when it came to the real pushing. I do not understand completely. I always thought that the dose is dripping into the epidural space and can even be increased if needed.
So, how can an epidural wear out? Kena |

i think every situation is different. i have known people to get it and feel no pain at all. but i think that it will drug the baby. i am 10 wks and when it is my turn i would like to have the baby naturally.

I have had two epidurals and I feel like they were almost more trouble than they were worth it! I didn't get a headache and there was no problem with them working. I felt actually too numb. Both times I had extreme shakings and low blood pressure reactions. The second time I almost passed out and vomited. I just hated it! I felt so nauseated and ill that after the birth of my second baby I couldn't even hold him for quite some time. Very annoying.
