Default will i carry on after giving birth?

I just signed a contract at work a month ago. I found out that i am 5 months pregnant and the father of my unborn child past away 3 months back. Do you think i will still be employed after giving birth, since i am not permanent AT WORK?

They do not have to guarantee your job, since you havent been there for 12 months or more you are not covered by FMLA. I was in your situtation a year ago. I talked to my boss and he himself guaranteed me my job once I came back from leave (which was unpaid).

Well, if you signed a contract, how long was it for. I think they have to honor it.

wow im very sorry to hear that about the father thats really hard im sure there will be no reason for them to fire you if you do your best to be a good employee i mean as best as you possibly can do with all this on your plate but they cannot fire you over a pregnancy thats illegal

Just dont leave work. They will have one heck of a mess to clean up, then they might bring you back just so you dont do it again.

I am a temp. employee and found out I was pregnant three months into an assignment. Before they knew I was pregnant they talked all the time about the fact that I would be hired full time but when my pregnancy became obvious I was "no longer needed". I have had multiple temp. jobs since that during my pregnancy and I know I'll be looking for work after the baby is born. As corny as it sounds, you don't want to be with company who doesn't support pregnant women, how will they act when you are a new mom? So, as devastated and angry as I was at the company for dumping me because of my pregnancy I know I'm much better of this way in the long run.
