Just wondering if I can be feeling contractions without pain? I can feel my stomache get really tight a lot, but I dont feel any pain. I thought I would have cramping (menstral type) pain with the contractions. My due date is tomorrow (May 17th) and I lost my mucus plug this morning. I was kind of expecting to carry a few more days at least before I had her, but now I am feeling the tightening in my stomache. Anyone else ever experince "painless contractions"?

those sound like braxton hicks contractions, they are "practice contractions that you can feel months before yo u have ur baby, it could be tomorrow or even a few days. sometimes thses this just pop up out of nowhere , if you hav elost your plug then chances are it will be within the next couple of days

yesss.with my last dd i started painless contractions at around 8 in the evening and at 11they where like 4 minutes apart with period like discomfort at 12 my water broke and at 4 in the morning my baby was born.oh and lost my plug after water broke and the contraction really kicked in.Good luck and breath.

I did have contractions without pain. When I would go for a stress test I would see them on the monitor but I wasn't having any pain. So it is possible. Good luck & contgradulations!!

I did with my first daughter. I had contractions for a whole day before it got severe enough for me to feel any pain. It just felt as though someone was squeezing my stomach like an orange.Give it time...it's coming....lol. Good luck and congrats!
