I am very exhausted. We ended up in the NICU for almost one week after an epidural free hospital childbirth. I don't even know anymore why they put him there. I was pretty much under shock, signed the form and then they took him away. He was under oxygen for 2 days straight. I feel like being the worst mommy on this planet. So close and so far away. He was crying so bad ....

He is home now with us. We are attached by the boob most of the time. I hope I can make up for the bad time in the very beginning.

My son came 4 weeks early due to the placenta failing to feed him. He stayed 6 days as he could control his own body temperature.

I do not have specific NICU experience, but friends of us had their baby in the NICU for about 3 weeks. They had twins and had to come out at week 33 due to complications. Having a baby in the NICU is very tough.
