Default Giving birth naked?

Would you ever consider birthing in the nude? (regardless of WHERE you deliver)I'm not a nudist or anything but if it were just hubby, myself and the midwife, I wouldn't care if I were nude or not. (this is one reason why I wouldn't "invite" people over or tell family I was in labor) hehe!

Personally there is enough that hangs out during labor. I don't need my boobs hanging out too.

You could do it naked in a little pool! I hear thats less painful. Something about the water is suppose to make things better. I wanted to do that but I decided it too late and we couldnt do that.

nope. i am mad i had to take my bra off last time with my son. i have already said to myself that i am wearing a sports bra with this one.to each his own, but i kinda think the whole nude thing is a little vulgar. why would you want to be naked? if you are confy with it....go ahead. it certaily wont hurt, and if you feel that it will help you.

Strange question. You will have your legs a meter apart and your genitals on full display. What difference would it make to have no clothes on?

Well most of us that have had children were probably pretty much in the nude. I think with me they pushed the hospital gown way up to my chest so that it was out of the way. All of my family was asked to leave the room when I actually gave birth. That's not really a community event.

I honestly think that would actually be a good ideal, if it was just me and my hubby, and a midwife!! I would do it!! And no I'm no where near to being a nudist either!!

It's all about if you're comfortable I guess. . .With everything hanging out, really, what else would matter at that point!!! I can't imagine being able to actually relax though. Just a hospital gown is going to be really uncomfortable or anything.

At that point you really don't care if anybody sees anything else... besides, what's "nude" when you are giving birth. I gave birth in a hospital and the only thing hidden from everyone were my breasts, which were covered by my hospital gown, but THEN when it came time to breastfeed my daughter, everyone then saw my breasts. Sure... I don't see what a little cloth matters anyway LOL!
