Default I have a 6 month old min pin with abdominal contractions and chougfing at the end...

...help!!!? I have a 6-month-old min pin we have had her for 5 days. She is very active and is eating and drinking. She is peeing and popping normal. The problem is she makes this noise it’s almost like a heavy breathing when she makes it her whole abdomen contracts almost like she is trying to throw up. Every time at the end of this (it last for maybe 5 sec) she coughs up. I haven’t seen anything come out I don’t think there is anything but maybe spit. I did see a piece of dog food but only one time. This has been going on for 4 days straight now about 4-5 times a day. She will wake up at night and just start doing it sometimes. I know the day we got her the breeder gave her the last of her de worming medicine (a pill), Any suggestions.... or am I just over reacting??? Thank you!

It could actually be allergies or asthma. Talk to your vet.

My chi/terrier does this everyonce in awhile. I asked my vet about it and he said that it was nothing to worry about. He may have drank or eaten too fast. It is like he has something caught in his throat or up his nose. He too coughs at the end (or hacks as I like to call it) and then he is fine. I am curious to see what people say (other than going to the vet - cause I have!). I have had him for 2 years and he is super healthy with no problems so I don't know what to think of it.
