Ive tried the hemp stuff and didnt like it. Im actually liking this L'occitane hand cream. Ive just opened a tube now. It absorbs quickly into skin. Ive got high hopes for this one! It was very expensive.

I hope so! Have you tried anything from the foot range at L'occitane? Ive neglected my feet for so long and now they are cracking at the heels.

my wife has just the same problem, she has tried most things, and as you have found out yourself after a while you get used to a cream and it no longer works.

3 to try are:
the large tub of water based cream the chemist does for a couple of pound its unsented and just a cheap base cream.

drapoline nappy rash cream.

Avon do a cream that works for some,I will get my wife to dig out the catalogue and find the name.

winter must be on the way as my wife hands have started to crack the last couple of days.

3 things make it worse:

the cold weather.

to much hand washing and contact with washing powders and softners.

to much stess !

Its so true what you've said. Creams work for about one week and then my skin gets used to them and it becomes useless! Drapoline is one I havent used it. Will have a look for that. Is the water based cream called aqueous cream? I think Ive tried that one. Thanks for the advice .

We have tons of sudocream at work but its too heavy for my skin. Will try what 6cats suggested and use it at night with gloves on. Aqueous cream didnt work either. Darn my stupid skin!

Hi Dollphin,

Ive tried E45 before but it doest absorb into my skin properly. Im currently using L'occitane shea butter hand cream which I use at night so I wake up with nice soft hands but by mid morning my hands get all dry again. I also use the cocoa butter hand cream from the body shop but I need to apply it loads of times a day which can be a right pain. Now winter is coming the skin around my knuckles has the tendency to crack and bleed. My dad has awful dry hands that crack and bleed too. He's a nurse so he's always washing his hands so that contributes to the dryness.
