Default Will walking tone legs and butt or is this strictley only for cardiovascular fitness?

I am a female and I am really wanting to tone, especially my bottom and give it more shape. God didn't give me much in that area. Will adding ankle weights help or is thier something else that I can do for my bottom area? (I cannot do lunges dues to bad knees) Thanks!

I'm trying to lose weight too and it's sooo hard. My aunt is using a weight loss product and it's really working for her. I'm gonna try it and I recommend you try it too. Check their website at http://www.mesayyes.info , my aunt got a free trial and paid only 6.95$ shipping and handling.

Ankle weights are horrible for your joints, I speak the truth I sale the things for a living. Along with other fitness accessories! Maybe try some light jogging and ending your session with some lunges and wall sits. Good luck!

Walk on an incline and it will help tone your butt and thighs. Also try hiking where you have to use your legs more. Good luck

walking is good. if you want muscles then you need to use weights and resistance exercise. you can ride a bike. stretching gives your muscles tone. stretching will not create muscles but will elongate your muscles. dance will also give you muscles.

Have you tried doing squats with weights. I have a problem with my left knee. Lunges bother me at times, but squats do not. Make sure your stance is correct. Walking is a good source of cardovascular fitness, mainly for the deconditioned. If you are looking to decrease body fat, you need something much more challenging. Interval training is great for fat loss. Weight training should also be done to facilitate fat loss.
