oh you mean the mirena?? well iv had it 6 1/2 years now and never had one before :?

was that your first choice lynne or had you tried the pill first?

the first pill i was put on, cant remember the name but it was purple made me have a period for 2 months :twisted: then i stopped taking it coz i had had enough. i was then put on the microginon (sp) and that works fine, thankfully

I have worked my way through all different pill and nothing worked so thought I would give this a go but it was the worst mistake ever so I can't wait to get it out

sorry to drag this up! but why is the pill only good for a year? i've been on microgynon for 5 years and it's working fine for me. what kind of nurse are you MG?

Me too i had implanon 7 years ago and for 3 months nonstop bleeding or staining of some description. I couldnt cope after that so then tried mirena same effect the injection same effect. The only thing works for me is the pill and has to be the full pill minipill makes me bleed nonstop too. Had the ordinary coil for a while but had nasty periods. Dont no wat ill do if i have to come off the pill for any reason.
