This could be too much information so dont read if about to eat.
I know this sounds stupid but when you have a cold and you blow your nose does all the yucky stuff come from your chest I know nose, thraot and ears are all connected just ws not too sure where all the gunge came from. I have a chest infection at the moment but keep feeling really stuffy so in the morning I give my nose a real good blowing and Ive never seen anything like. To be honest it doesnt even look like what should come out of your nose it looks more like ive blown half my brain out like (muscle or tissue from my body) does that make sense  It is coming off my chest. |

i think everyone has it, i remember one of my friends years ago had a chest infection and every time she blew her nose it was bright yellow!! (sorry) it is all connected, when i was little i always used to get told to blow my nose and not sniff because its all going back inside you. still don't know if that is true

loz just said her science teacher told her, its when you breathe through your nose and sniff, dust and bacteria go up it and apparently some other stuff is made up there and it all congeals (sp) then when you blow it all comes out

Sounds like you have a sinus infection. Usually the chest stuff comes up when you cough a lot and you cough up yucky stuff. But if your head feels under a lot of pressure, your eyes feel heavy, tender under your eyes when you gently push on the bones and also above the eye (eye brow area) it is probably sinuitis (spelling?)
If it doesn't clear up on it's own after a week or so, you should consider seeing a Dr. You can feel as though you have just blown all your brains out but still lots left. |
