Its a lot less fatty than a meat diet, it is better for your digestive system, you don't have buildups of decaying dead meat in your intestines. Its cheaper--meat is expensive but you can do a really good veggie meal for a lot less. It can easily be cholesterol free, thats good for you--less clogging of veins and arteries and you won't need prescription meds to clean em out.

Studies have shown that vegetarians (following a well-balanced low-fat high-fibre vegetarian diet) often have lower incidence of coronary artery disease, hypertension, obesity and some forms of cancer.A vegetarian diet tends to be lower in total fat, and vegetarians tend to eat proportionally more polyunsaturated fat to saturated fat compared with non-vegetarians. (Animal products are the major sources of dietary saturated fat). You'll live a lot longer too. Vegetarians live about seven years longer according to several different studies. Plus its better for the environment and kinder to animals!

I used to have stomach problems and feel weak and tired much of the time when I was younger. Since becoming a vegetarian 16 years ago and learning to eat healthy, balanced meals, I have more energy and no stomach problems. To reap the benefits of a vegetarian diet, it's important to eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats and protein. Other benefits of a vegetarian diet contribute to the environment. It takes much less land and water to grow food for a vegetarian than to grow the grains to feed a cow to then feed a person.
