would your mates at work not back you up, wouldnt they say how dirty they think they are too?
i think you need to stand your ground, i also think that was disgusting for him to talk to you like that, was anyone else there at the time?

trouble is, which my sister found when she was physically abused by the bosses wife, is that people will say they will stand by you but for fear of losing their jobs do nothing, she eventually left (forced out) with a back handed payout :evil:

the company has a duty to provide sanitation. Surely you shouldn't have to share with men - do they provide sanitary products for you to buy? surely this is a basic right of all women.

stand by your principles - you shouldn't have to take abusive language from anyone

just make sure that your letter is not abusive - just honest and well written - you need to be able to back up your accusations with proof or at least examples of what has gone on.

don't give in - no one should be treated like this

Thanks for your replies, its been going on for a while with the H&S rep, everyone knows he's a dick. I was at work today and one of the men that was there who heard everything and stuck up for me at the time says he'll stand my me and can use him as a witness :grin:

with the toilets, there is a female toilet in the main office, but that is only available up until 3pm, then its all locked up. with me working afters, 2-10 and 10 - 6am and 6am, 6pm and 6am, theyre locked so i have to use the mens in the other mess room, sometimes i have to walk through our mess room, into the other mess room where at any one time there can be 30 men all staring at me, whistling ect and while i know probably nothing with happen to me while im in there, theres always a chance of something hey? :roll: anyways, yeah the toilets are discusting, theres pee up the walls, bogies wiped on the walls, most of the time theres no toilet roll, theres pee and poo all over the seats, lid and actual toilet, i have to squat from a distance! when i first started the boss was like, "oh ill give you a key and the alarm code to the office" but nothing happened, ive asked time and time again but he makes out that its such a hassel, or that he cant get another key cut ect ......... the only other woman that works there has a key ............. :roll:

oh, almost forgot, theres no sanitary products to buy, but there is a bit to put the products in, which is a bit pointless really as theres noone to empty it :roll:

if i was in your shoes i would have complained about it along time ago not about using the mens loos, but the fact they are so messy and smelly, i really really hope they get it sorted out for you.

also if the other female worker has a key then so should you

Nothings happened as of yet suzie.

Theres a meeting tomorrow morning, with our union rep and 2 higher grade staff acting as overall spoke persons for everyone about everything that has been happeneing so hopefully something will get sorted :grin:
