HI
can't you involve you Union rep? this is bullying and they shouldn't acuse you if they've no proof. does it look like your writing? It's certainly not dair - where's your key to the office? you should ask for this daily - and mention you should have sanitary bins provided if not somewhere to buy an emergency supply! |

no key, no toilets!!
theres loads of people that have said I havent done it and told him so, but he keeps saying that he doesnt believe them. The boss made him say sorry, then he got back in the van while i was still in the office and said to my team mate, i still think she did it. the lad thats done it has said that if the rep comes up to him and asks him, then he'll admit to it, everyone knows hes done it and to be honest, its no big deal, hes not bothered, but its just the fact that he wont believe me. its kind of like a big kid, he could have 100% proof that i havent done it, but he'd want the last word and say "hmm, i still think she did it" its like talking to the brick wall, as for going higher the overall boss is big buddies with the boss, and the boss just tends to shrug things off. makes things into a joke, its stupid. hes so 2 faced its unreal, the day that he apologised to me (why i dont know if he doesnt believe me) i bought a grinder and he offered to drop it off at my house for me, so we all went round to mine, he even came into my house for a nosey at the work im doing, and then hes been slagging me off behind my back.

Sorry, FG but you do have to leave your job to claim CD, as you're claiming on the grounds that your employer's actions have breached your contract. It's VERY hard to prove and not many cases succeed. (Sorry to be a smart-arse - I have a personnel qualification and advise on employment law every day, so this is how I know !)
Re. slander, I copied this from our info. system at work : This is a false statement made by one person about another which involves some imputation (accusation) which discredits that person's character, reputation or credit worthiness. A defamatory statement must be communicated to at least one person other than the subject of the statement. It can be communicated by, for example, spoken or written words, or by photographs, cartoons or effigies. In other words it can be communicated in any way in which meaning can be conveyed. You need to seek legal advice if you're thinking of pursuing this and again, it can be hard to prove (and very expensive).

I remember reading about 10 years ago that you only had to be contemplating leaving to have a case. I am still stuck in 1970 let alone 2006  |

Thanks Kerry and Father Goose for the info
I think its a bit drastic leaving work, even though sometimes I dont want to go in because of it, its so annnoying sometimes. Kerry, Ill cut and past the statement and give my letter to the boss stating what the rep is like. Im usually not one to moan, but knowing that I havent done something but being accused of it is really getting to me thanks
