FAT32 is better format for your hard drive, It expands your computers overall memory file allows for faster speeds when online and various other bonuses to your computer. I would say empty your temp file/cookies etc, Run Diskcleanup, scandisk (full scan) to check for any errors, then defrag your computer. Restart your pc then switch to FAT32, run defrag again, and restart your pc again. Your Pc will thank you.

an extra note, after you emptied your temp/cookies makes sure you empty your recycling bin. Then continue to do the rest.

to switch it over to FAT32 click on START then to PROGRAMS > Accessories> System tools> Drive Converter [FAT32]
