My divorce seems to be taking forever - I decided just to let him get on with it to make life easier for the children. I could have made him wait 2 years but that would only prolong my agony!

My dads been divorced 2 times :shock: we joke to him that he likes wedding cake! ;-)

though my granny & Grandad were married 59 years (he passed away last feb, march was their 60th anniversary) they were for life and i think even though loads of couple have their differences, many people get married and totally forget the who point of marriage and dont even try to work things out :cry:

I think that the marriage isn't viewed for life like it used to be. Our grandparents ages were the days when you got married and that was it until death do you part. I think that socially things have changed and that has impacted on how marriages last.

But, if you are going through a divorce for whatever reason then I think that it should be quicker and easier depending on the reasons for doing it in the first place.
