All Im saying Is, I could be financialy stable by not working and doing what thousands of other people do, and that is live off the state.

Nothing wrong with that if it is done for the right moral reasons, like you say your kids are only young for a short time so make the most of it.

But some people, as everyone knows do it because it means they get an equall or better standard of living for less effort.

Me personnaly, i'd rather work for my living and be able to say that everything that I have achieved has been through hard work and effort.

This is supposed to be a debate. So this is my opinion, and personally I cant see how it should offend anyone on this site, unless your admitting to being a benefit cheat.
the reply I guess you are referring to micko was from 6cats.
nita often comes out guns blazing as i have found to my cost at times :?
i dont think she meant anything personal by it.

the topic is working parents,so i am going to start a new topic on benefits and cheats ect, as its a hot topic.

I appreciate the topic, but being a working parent isn't always a vaible option, my arguement being from a financial situation.

As for 6cats reply, well it doesn't bother me one bit, I like people with strong opinions, but sometimes the red mist decends before they get to the end of the story, so they don't get to see the full picture.

i did read the whole of the post, i wrote what i did because of the words wrote as a whole, all in the same sentence. i understood where you were coming from but as it was a debate i am also able to add my feelings on the matter.
yes there are some lazy b**studs out there that have never worked and dont intend to and get everything for nothing ......quote This is supposed to be a debate. So this is my opinion, and personally I cant see how it should offend anyone on this site, unless your admitting to being a benefit cheat unquote...so does this mean because i gave a remark i am feeling guilty because i am a benefit cheat
and this quote..nita often comes out guns blazing as i have found to my cost at times unquote i feel unfair, twice i have made my opinion quite clear about something and that was because of two very rude stuck up their own a**es members i dont appreciate this being said about me as though im full of myself and am always right before i even check the facts.

I agree with wat micko says in that lots of people do it to have an easy life there are lots of layabouts around and its not fair wen people do the double either. Its just its a very different situation for every1, like i said i dont need benefits but i have done in the past an example being wen my first husband left me with 4 children. I think just there are so many opinions this could be a very dodgy subject to get started on cos it seems to be that its being taken out of context now. And i think it wasnt just nitas comment mick was refering to it was all our replies.

I think if mothers are able to stay at home then that is good but in this day and age most mothers feel a need to be out there working.
