Default Fireworks

Do you think they should be banned from being sold to the public??

Just been reading the paper and saw that 7 children were hurt due to a faulty firework.

I think that they should be banned from the public and only aloud for a public display.
Another thing that is making me sick is all the animals being toutured and killed by mindless thugs thinking its funny to use a firework to hurt the poor animal

got a valid point there kim, its a good idea to just have organised events so long as they kept the price reasonable.
its stupid and disgusting what people will do these days

I think they should be banned and only available in displays. However there was also an incident over the weekend when something went wrong in an organised display

Surely having organised displays will cut the anount of accidents there are at the moment by a big percentage, I think as long as there are fireworks being made there will always be someone out there getting hurt.

im torn on this as it is thomas' birthday so we have always had a bonfire party  we were going to take him to a display this year as he had his friends over on the friday but we couldnt find one locally and without having the hassle of parking and the extortionate prices!! But i also think that there should be more regulations to buying fireworks as anyone can walk in and buy what the hell they like and also set them off whenever and where ever!! Maybe something like having to sign for them and leave your name and address and where the firewworks will be used? at least having to prove your identity would stop all the kids getting them!

I think it should be displays only. I went to a firework work display Friday they even had an escape route all planned out which I thought was a really good idea. ;-)

Fireworks are dangerous objects and thus it is always better to attend a proper public organised display than attempt to do one yourself in case something goes wrong.

Im a bit *not sure* about whether overall public selling shoudl be banned htough.

My young cat dan didn't come in on bonfire night, when he finally did his fur was burnt on his back, not down to the skin but he was traumatised, poor thing, i hate fireworks now, not sure if something fell on him or if was done on purpose, very upsetting though!
