Thats right girls, it sucks........

This country is run all wrong and i don't care who is in power they all say one thing and then do another.

don't even get me going and british tradition, i heard some time ago that we couldn't even show our flag incase we offended some other ethnic group !!! WHAT !! and now xmas decs and grottos !!!!! lets get a grip here.

England is somewhere to be proud of and i am proud but i wont be made to feel ashamed or embarrassed of what we are or do.

I would like to say that if you don't like what this country has to offer regarding traditions and ways then go home !! but this isn't the case as this country/goverment seems to relish in giving any other foreign group exactly what they want and its us the british puplic who pay our taxes and god knows what else that has to do with what we are given and lump it !

I know it seems all bad but it could be worse i guess, at least there are no beheadings in the streets here.........as of yet !!! ;-)

There are many things that are unfair besides immigrants, family tax for example, once upon a time there was a thing called married mans tax allowance but then this was taken off us in place of family tax credit which is great for those couples who want kidz but what about thoses that don't ? just because they choose not to procreate they have to pay more tax........why ? now if you want kidz why should i who doesn't subsidize you ?

mmmmm, the plot thickens

By the way i'm not having a go at anyone with kidz, i love kidz i worked with them long enough maybe thats why i don't want them........yet ;-)

where will this go next ladies ?

Good topic and very well put realitybite.

You have put your case forward for debate without being personal or racist ect. ;-)
I look forward for more of the same.

I think we're all worried about coming across as racist when talking about topics like this but at the end of the day, we have a problem with people who take liberties and abuse the system, regardless of there they're from. It's not racist to take exception to this.

Here in N. Ireland we have a huge migrant-worker community - around 15% of the population in the town where I live. Most of them are fine - they do their jobs and bother no-one. What angers me is when the women come to the UK, work for a few weeks, get pregnant and then go straight on to benefits. I don't see why someone who has contributed nothing in taxes should be able to claim benefits, especially when it's so obvious that this is the only reason they came to the UK.

I'm not getting into the whole benefits thing as such - that's been discussed on here before. What I'm saying is it bothers me that people come to the UK with the sole intention of getting on to benefits as soon as they can, whether they have to get pregnant, claim they're sick or whatever. I work for a charity and we help people with benefit-related issues. It amazes me when people arrive at our door, not able to speak a word of English but yet clutching their Incapacity benefit, Income Support and Disability Living Allowance forms. Then we're expected to pay for translators for them too !

True Kerry, but i know of a hell of a lot of British people who do that, get pregnant after paying nothing, then go on benefits like theyre entitled which is another of my pet hates, if not the first.

So yeah I agree that its another can of worms entirely.
