Default Its official Xmas is dying !!!

Guess what ?

its official, you can no longer call your outside xmas fairy lights, christmas lights.

They have to be referred to as "a celebration of light" !

This ridiculous statement was put out on the radio the other day, Tuesday i think, and is a result of certain religious groups being offended !!!!!

Who are these people ?????? please tell me, voice yourselves and give me a reason as to why this show of a celebration of giving is offending you ?

:???:

You'll probably find that it's not these religious groups themselves but rather overly-PC councils who are worried they'll get into trouble. All this type of thing serves to do is cause tension between different cultures and religions.

it really annoys me all this stuff about xmas!!! we have happy christmas, hannukah and god knows what else under our CHRISTMAS LIGHTS in the town centre.....!!! in britain we celebrate CHRISTMAS on the 25th of december and i think we should be left to celebrate it!! the kids in school are taught to celebrate other religious festivals such as eid and divali [sp?] which im quite happy about but we dont change any of the wording for this so as not to upset british people do we??

Hi,

I'm asian, have been born in England and we have celebrated Christmas from when we were babies. We treat Christmas just like any of our own festivals and if anything we enjoy it more.

I can't understand how anyone can be offended by it as it's such a happy time of the year.

Remember the old "black board" issue ? first it was changed to a white board and then not to offened white people they decided on calling it a chalk board although i am sure they will have changed it again by now as not to offend the chalk people

and manhole covers !!!! sexist that, its an inspection chamber cover of course......

o yer and lets not forget the good old hammer, they will be calling them "variable impact load drivers" next as not to offend the sharks :!:
