Default To pierce or not to pierce??

Do you think Babies should have there ears pierced, I know its a random debate but I really hate to see babies/toddlers with there ears pierced :???:

My mum waited until I was old enough to say yes If wanted it done or no!!
I said yes by the way

I can see the point of view that when a child is so small they wont remeber the pain, but why inflict it on them, plus I also think they look awaful in a babies ears

Dont worry Pl I have to agree that it does look common, and It reminds me of the gypsys that land on the doorstep every summer. (not quite my doorstep though)

i don't think it looks nice on real little ones. Britany apparently was having an argument on the street with her bloke coz he wanted their baby to get his ears pierced she said it would look like trailer trash!

i had laurens done when she turned one.
whats a suitable age for them to ask then, as daffy said one of her girls was three, surely at this age she would be asking just because she seen them on someone else and thought they looked pretty? so when do you know that they want them done because THEY do and not because they want to look like everyone else?

I had mine done when I was 6 and I screamed the place down. The pain was unbearable! I had to have them repierced when I was 16 as the stupid lady ended up putting two holes in one ear. Terrific! Im not having them done again. I agree with Chopper, earrings look awful in babies ears.
