Default Eating Disorders

Eating Disorders

Have you ever had any form of eating disorder? Ie, bullimia, anorexia or compulsive eating?

We think my cousin has it (shes 42) and is looking very skeletal at the moment, we know shes not eating as shes admitted this, altough shes saying its because shes so busy. I know a little bit about eating disorders (never had one myself) so i just wondered if anyone else has had it?

yeah it was around chritsmas when we told her that she looked really well, as she did, shes always been a bit podgy, not fat and everyone just mentioned how well and healthy she looked, now to be honest its really horrible, you can see her bones just above her breasts and because shes got falsies they look really wrong now. I know that you can see my collarbone but she might as not have any skin on hers! i do feel for her and would help, but to be honest i know that theres not much someone can do, it has to come from the person itself.

ive never had one and never known anyone with one.
sorry to hear about your cousin though lors, but i think you're right, theres nothing you can do to help in my opinion, i watched a programme on it and the girls on it said it was like self harming, they had control over it, didnt matter what anyone said or how bad it upset anyone else

Hi

my best mate at work has suffered from bulimia on and off for years, she goes mad and eats a full pizza then pukes for days! I know why she did it but she's still very very insecure about everyhting. I don't think you ever recover but the first step like alcoholism is to admit your problem.

thinking of you
