Should people who are obese be charged by the NHS if they need treatment?

i dont think they should be because just like everyone else they are paying taxes etc etc :grin:

well.....it depends on the case of the individual i think, theres obese and theres OBESE!!
Did you see that american guy on the telly, he was HUGE and in hospital and his missus still brought him junk food in, he said 'its ok pizzas fine, it has all good things in it, bread cheese pepperoni' :roll:
anyway he died of heart failure or summut!!

anyway, saying that, if i said no then that would be like saying i dont think that cancer sufferers should be allowed treatment because they chose to smoke so they inflicted themselves...(even though i still think cancer is in everyone and something just triggers it)

god im long winded...my answer is yes they should be allowed treatment :lol:

Why do i get charged an extra £30 on a flybe flight for being a few pounds over on my luggage yet my seat ticket costs the same as the 24 stone lump sat next to me ?

hmmm good point fg!!!! i have to leave shoes behind you know because of luggage allowances :shock: and i dont weigh much ;-)

course they should be allowed treatment. they work ( well some) and pay NI so why shouldn`t they be treated.

alcoholics and heavy smokers all get treated so why shouldn`t the obese.

a dietician would be their first point of call.


on the subject of the nhs. when you`re given crutches and walking sticks etc. i think you should have to pay a deposit on them so you would take them back. how many people just can`t be bothered to take them back
