I'm making a cake for my baby's first birthday, I want to make a "pond" in the center of it using Jello, but regular Jello will turn back to a liquid form. I need the recipe for jello that invilves knox gelatin, I know this keeps jello from turning back to liquid, if asnyone can help would really appreciate it.what is the ratio for jello/knox gelatin/water?

Knox gelatin does tend to be a bit more firm at room temperature - add some white grape juice for taste and a bit of blue food dye. Though if you add the pond to the cake and then refrigerate before serving it should be fine.

For the Jell-O to be liquid when cold you must have a fruit product in there somewhere which contains an enzyme that hydrolyzes the protein in the Jell-O .Don't use raw pineapple for instance in your Jell-0 ;Make the Jell-O separate in a little bowl and after hardening just take a bl op and place it into the center of the cake or where you have that little pond .Sure sounds cute as a button to me . Bon Appetite

That is such a cute idea. I found the 'bathtub' cake which is soooo cute, too. In this cake, though, the water is supposed to stay 'jiggly' so the rubber duckies look like they are bobbing in the bath water. This recipes has good pointers, none the less.
