Gluhwein RecipeIngredients1 bottle Dry red wine 3 ea Cloves1 ea Lemon 3 tblspoons Sugar2 sticks Cinnamon 1 pinch Cardamon (or ginger)DirectionsHeat the red wine in a pot (don't boil). Cut the lemon into slices and add to the wine. Then add the cinnamon, cloves, sugar, and cardamon (or ginger) to taste. Heat everything for about 5 minutes. Do not boil! Turn off heat (or remove from heat) and let stand for about one hour. Before serving, reheat and strain. Serve in pre-warmed glasses or mugs. Prost!

Gluwein1 bottle red wine 4 whole cloves 1 cinnamon stick 1/2-1 lemon, rind of 1/4 cup sugar, to taste Pour wine and sugar into deep pot and heat until just before boiling. Do not boil Wrap Cinnamon, Lemon Peel and cloves in Cheesecloth and tie off tightly. Add to wine and sugar mixture and simmer for about 15 minutes. Serve immediately in coffee or tea mugs.
