Very cold morning - icy cold brrrrr!! Sitting here on sette all wrapped up, but i,m gonna get up and make a cuppa after this post!

Mam looked great when i went to see her last night, was sooo happy to see her well. When i first went in, it does make u feel light headed seeing all the tubes etc... so i sat down straight away :lol: didnt want to be doing a kerry :lol:

I've just phoned my insurance about my leaking roof - I hadn't thought of phoning them - even if the damage to my roof isn't covered the damage to my bathroom is - just got to wait for someone to call me back within 4 hours

thanks for all the birthday wishes yesterday - I had a nice day - hope Ella did too! Laura opened my presents though - think she got a taste for it last week on her birthday!

just dropped kids off at childminders and bus stop - Alastair finishes school today til 8th Jan -that's when Laura atsrts nursery too!

waiting for a man to come to fix my dishwasher and then I'm of to do my Xmas food shopping - my ironing and he last of my Xmas wrapping as I need to take my pressies for my friends to work tomorrow

karen so glad to hear your mam looked well last night. how long will she be in hospital for ? know what you mean with all the tubes and stuff, it makes me feel all weak talking about and seeing stuff like that.

joanne, sounds like you've a busy day ahead, glad to hear you had a good birthday and that alastair got you a really nice (thoughtful) gift. enjoy your day.

we're not up to much, anna and my niece alex are still in their pj's, just playing upstairs, puppet shows. i'm attempting to tidy round but all's i seem to be doing is moving things, i can;t get motivated today !

need to do a christmas card run later so might put kids in car and go and get them all out the way, that's all for me today, nothing else planned.

is everyone almost sorted for christmas now ? all we need to do is get the fresh stuff in, probably tomorrow as i'm going out tomorrow night so don't fancy it saturday as i might be a bit rough, hopefully not as i'd like to try and take it easy, but knowing me.....

bought anna a new peppa pig duvet set for a surprise for christmas eve so wanna get that all washed, those character bedding sets are a complete rip off, the material is awful and they're not even cheap, gonna stick it in the machine with about 4 cups of lenor to try and soften it up a bit.

righto, best go as the kids are quiet...

Afternoon all,

Hope your Mam is doing well Karen.

Sunny day here but very very cold when you step outside!

I've one Christmas pressie left to deliver so think I'll head out with it later this afternoon and thats me all set after that.

Did big food shop last week and most of it in freezer so just fresh stuff to get. Xmas dinner at Mums this year so its just for boxing day etc I need to get for.... but of course every year I buy far far too much and am alwasy tempted by all the nice treats etc in the supermarket! Ate a full (big) bag of salted cashew nuts last night in front of TV with my excuse being its almost xmas!!! :lol:
