Okay, my mother in law will be 50 this year. The last boyfriend she had, died 13 years ago. She goes on about how he was her soul mate and that she'll never love again, etc. Which I understand, but she's miserable. Not in the regard that I hate my mother in law and she's miserable (we actually get along quite well) but emotionally miserable. 2 of her sons still live with her, and that's probably her reason for not going out or doing anything. But they are both getting married next year, so how can I kick her in the butt and get her dating again?

She goes on and on about how all men suck and how no one will ever be as good as Tom, but I don't know if I'm content to just sit back and watch her be miserable for the rest of her life.

Is there anything I can do? Anyone out there been in a similar situation? in my position or hers? What did you do?
