Default Any veggies in the house?

I'm vegetarian, and my parents are really mean about it. They think I'm crazy. Have you guys been through this?

It's so horrible. They hide meat in my food, they yell and bitch when I hide my meat, and whatever. Sometimes they watch me eat while I cry, just to see if I'll eat it.

I feel so fake when I eat meat, even when I hate and despise it. It's all because of my parents.

I don't even meat ever, except when my dad gets home from work cranky, and he needs something to yell at me about: meat.

And then he'll bother and yell at me until I'll stick the crap into my mouth.

I hate it. I hate eating it. I don't like it at all. It has such a horrible taste. And I feel so fake after eating it, like I couldn't stand up enough/fight long enough.

My family is very... unsupportive of my eating habits. But I'm just very OCD about it, not vegetarian. I eat everything a particular way and they're always trying to ignore it or shame me out of it. I never have condiments, I eat the crusts first, I burn meat and undercook everything else (and I have dozens of smaller quirks). And they hate it. But I can't change, that's just the only way I can put it in my mouth. I'd rather go hungry than eat a hotdog with mustard or fried chicken. I don't see why it should bother them, since I'm the one that's willing to go ahead myself and make my food exactly how I want it. It's not a burden on anyone but me.

I don't really have any advice on this one. Parents are parents, and mine made me eat like them for years, until I learned to do it my way myself. They also let up just because I got older and they realized that it wasn't a phase and it wasn't because I was set in my ways. I simply like my food better my way. Plus, no one else likes food the way I do, so they're not always stealing bites.

If you hate it so much, make a stand, and make your own food! IS that possible?

How's the situation so far? Perhaps you could give us an update on what happened so far?
