We will be taking our first plane trip in February to go to Georgia for Abby's first birthday. We have a Britax Boulevard car seat but that thing is soooooo heavy and very bulky. I do not really want to carry it around through airports. Since it wouldn't hurt us to have a second (spare) car seat, is there one in particular that is lighter weight (while still being safe) and easy for travelling? We will be doing a lot of driving on our trip also, as we are going to drive from Atlanta to Orlando for some Disney Fun (my Husband is a huge Disney Fan).
Thanks in advance! |

We are having the Alpha Sport 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat. It's kind of Ok for air travel though. It weighs about 14 lbs but I guess that is the range you are looking at anyway. Have you thought about renting one from the car rental place you are going to use?

We got the Graco ComfortSport Newborn/Toddler Carseat and it is wonderful. We tried some other seats, but we had problems getting them to fit in our small cars in the center middle seat while rear facing. This one is perfect for us.
