Neighbor of ours is looking for someone to take care of her infant daughter couple of days a week. Since its mostly weekends and I'm mainly home around those hours, she's also single mother of five. So, I agreed to $18-20's a day. (That's pretty cheap I know) but she now wants someone to care for the baby during summer break during weekdays. I'm thinking $80-100 a week is that too much to ask? keep in mind she has five kids. I worked for my parents the summer before and earned $400 a week. So, my question is....is $80-100 fair?Oh, the others are nearly my age, it's just the baby I'll be taking care of.

I have a relative who had a Nanny reside with her and her 2 kids, but was there to take care of her 2 yr old, and she paid her $400 a week, which everyone thought was excessive.According to the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC), pinning down a nationwide average for home daycare costs is difficult. Prices vary depending on the size of the facility, the region, and whether the facility is licensed. Some providers charge almost as much as daycare centers, while others charge very little, especially if they're close friends or neighbors of the families whose children they're caring for. On average, however, home daycares charge about $6,000 a year ($500 a month) for toddlers and $8,400 a year ($700 a month) for infants. If you'd like to get more info, click this link:http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/pre...1199776.html#2
