I NEED TO CONVICE MY PARENTS ; to let me get ....?So I'm 13 and my mom will not let me get tips. I have a million bar/bat mitzahs; confirmation, graduation and just for the hell of having a party parties. I really want tips. My mom said "no". I asked why and she said. "Because I can say no."How can I persuade her to let me get them?I dont want people telling me I'm too young to get them.I want tips to persaude my mom, no one understood what i meant by tips =) lol

well, first you have to think why she may say no. she may think that they aren't presentable or something. try showing her ones that are not too long and look very pretty. she might also think that they're costly. either tell her about some affordable but good salons or just show her sturdy ones that you can still buy at your local drugstore. good luck!~sara v

I'll say it again.GET A JOB and pay to get your own nails done. Babysit for a few hours, mow the neighbors grass, maybe the little old lady down the street needs her flowers weeded.Soda, she's talking about thos silly acrylic things that resemble claws instead of fingernails. Kinda makes you long for the good old days when she'd be crying because her Mom wouldn't let her paint her nails doesn't it?

ma by u just asked in a wrong time i remember that if i asked my mom or dad when they wore tired o stressed out or just annoyed by every thing they would always say no best time of the day to ask is when mom or ad takes a shower and is calm good luck

Why do you need them? its a waste of money, and since your 13 i doubt your independently wealthy so your parents would have to pay. They look lame. Dont last, Grow out your own nails and file to a beautiful shine. It costs maybe 75 cents to do instead of $50+ for tips. So just listen to your parents. I am tired of you kids thinking that you run the show with your parents. Your kids for a reason, you dont know better

Ok so ur best bet is to tell her what u just wrote on here.. about how u just want to look nice n or classy...mayb if u write her a note/presentation to show the effort ur putting into this n how much u've actually thought about n want it.Good Luck

No Affence But Tips Look Really Pathetic,On Everyone,It Doesnt Matter How Old You Are,Tips Just Look Trashy,Besides Being A Waste Of Money,To Each There Own I Guess,What I Always Do Is Give My Self A French Mani,Its Really Easy,Firstly I Clean My Nails With The Pointy End Of A Nail File,Then I Cut Them With Nail Scissers,Then I File Em In An Oval Shape With Round Edges,Then I Paint All My Nails In A Clear Base Coat,The Next Step Is Easy Too,,, I Cut Thin Strips Of Clear Sticky Tape And Place It On My Nails,So That The Area I Want To Be White Is [The 'Tip' Of My Nail] Not Covered By Tape,I Paint The Uncovred 'Tip' Of My Nail With WHITE Nail Pollish && Let It Dry,I Leave The Tape On This Entire Time,Then Once My Nails Are All Completly Dry I Gentley Peal The Tape Off Of My Nails,This Creates A Awsome White Nail 'Tip' That Looks Really Profesional Like Ive Had Them Done In A Salon,The Pollish I Get Only Costs $ 2 Aswell !!And Finally I Coat My Entire Nail In A Pale French Pink Colour Or A Clear Coat For School !!Looks Awsome,,,, You Should Seriusly Try It,,,,,, !!!!xAshaleiP.S Im Not The Best Speller,,, Sorry Bout That
