Default tips for gaining trust from parents?

Would anyone have any kinds of suggestions for ways that I can gain trust from my parents? I'm not a bad kid,or anything, they're just a tad over protective and I'd like to show them that I'm a trustworthy person, and that I can be trusted when I ask to go out and do things later on.

Understand why your parents are strict. Also understand all the implications of your actions and act responsibly. Don't hide things, don't lie. Don't race across a street without looking. Understand that strangers can kidnap you, there' s been many cases over the years. Know how to avoid putting yourself in a dangerous situation. Also, if out late at night, never go alone. Always in groups. Know how to remain calm and think logically in extreme situations. How to call for help and who to call.

talk to them, LISTEN to them, strike up a conversation, sound interested, ask them questions about when they grew up. I know, it will be painful, but TRUST me it works, be their friend, and they will give you freeeeedom!!! yea haww!!! We fight for freedom!!
