Default Carry-on food for toddler when traveling?

Airplane food is so bad I at least wanted to bring some fruits/vegetables for my toddler. I want to bring the jarred foods because they're vacuum packed so will last the duration of the flight.
But did anyone else notice that jarred baby food comes in 4 oz (or more for the stage 3 foods), and the TSA traveling guidelines for food says it needs to be in a 3 oz. container? It looks like the folks coming up with the rules don't have kids or have never bought food for young children. Everything comes in 4 oz as the smallest size!
Ex. children's yogurt

My question: has anyone traveled with a toddler (not an infant) and tried to bring a 4 oz jar of baby/toddler food? Did they let you through?

(note: I've already thoroughly read the TSA website and there really is no specific info; just the 3-1-1 rule.)

ugh, that is so stupid. they don't even know their own new rules. Once, my husband was carrying a classified doc. and NO ONE could look at it. He works in missile defense.. they didn't know what to do..too funny actually.

Anyway, I have never traveled w/those containers, so clueless.. Just I guess call the airline or airports you'll be going thru.. Chances are they won't even know where to direct the call and you'll get a diff answer every time.

I wouldn't even bother bringing something like that, esp glass. Try the toddler puffs/fruit bites or toddler meals in the box, plastic container... instead

I know that tupperware has those small sauce containers.. Can you transfer the food into the smaller containers?
